Some things deserve to make a comeback.
Back in the early 80s, we were happily wasting hours on video games systems like the OUJKI 3000 and whatever else we could get our hands on. Simple graphics, ridiculous aliens, increasingly questionable hand-eye coordination. Happy days.
'SPACE GONKS ...from outer space' (and similar) became one of those old favourites that never really left us. In a previous online incarnation of DISTRICT. PROVISIONS, we proudly gave the game a home on our website. Then came the rebrand, the overhaul and a whole load of changes.
But while we were busy sorting out the new DISTRICT., a few old favourites were always going to find their way back.
Houston, we've got Gonks.
So here they are again. 'SPACE GONKS ...from outer space' is back, looking cool as ever and ready to steal a little more of your time.
You'll find it tucked away in our AFTER HOURS section, right down at the bottom of the DISTRICT. PROVISIONS homepage. It's our little corner for the stuff that doesn't quite fit anywhere else, and a reminder that this place is about having a bit of fun as well as finding cool things.
The artwork has had a fresh lick of paint, the Gonks have returned from wherever the hell they've been hiding, and the game is live and ready to play.
No big launch speech. No complicated backstory. Just an old favourite back where it belongs.
Head to the homepage, scroll down to AFTER HOURS and have a go. (or hit the 'INSERT COIN' link below)
The GONKS are back in town ...from outer space. Try not to let them take over your afternoon.
